DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
To create pieces that bring women joy, speak to her as she is, pieces that can be cherished time after time again, that carry her memories and offer her comfort. Treasures that carry sentimental value as if it were a letter from an old friend or a family photo album, items that she may not have known she needs, but learns she cannot live without.
INSPIRING. EMPOWERING. EFFORTLESS.
RECENT WORK
ROLLER RABBIT:
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
THE JOYFUL ARTISAN AFICIANADO
Best known for its PJs, the business opportunity identified for Roller Rabbit was to increase the cult-like enthusiasm around PJs to include RTW and lifestyle. What had once been exciting and exotic for an other generation had stagnated throughout the years and management was eager to see a reinvigorated brand. We worked on rebranding Roller Rabbit to suit this new generation of mothers; women who had been avid travelers, educated by the world and had pursued new cultures, women who wanted to fill their houses and share with their children the colorful variety of goods made by artisans around the world. I was thrilled by the challenge but even more so, the ability to work with a brand who desired to lift up artisans and celebrate hand-crafted goods.
AMOUR VERT:
DESIGN DIRECTOR
CALIFORNIA COOL / MEET PARISIAN CHIC
Amour Vert was a dream opportunity. As Design Director, I expanded the core offering from sustainable T-shirts into a sustainable lifestyle for the Amour Vert woman. I refined the Amour Vert aesthetic and created a concise but diverse product offering to suit the everyday needs of the customer increasing the DTC business from $1 million in 2016 to $10 million in 2017. AV was the first time I realized the power of a brand, and the impact a small number of people can make when they chose to stand for the environment and be successful without compromising on beliefs.
PREVIOUS WORK
ANTHROPOLOGIE:
SENIOR DESIGNER
THE WANDERLUST AMERICAN
At Anthropologie, I met, designed, and fell in love with a new archetype of woman. The average American woman who lives and works in the mid-west, the south, and everywhere in between LA and NY. She is creative, curious, craves travel and culture, she is free spirited and educated.
ERIN FETHERSTON:
HEAD DESIGNER
FEMININITY & FEMALE
I've never worn pink, or bows, or ruffles.
And the greatest thing I learned from the wonderfully whimsical designer Erin Fetherston is that I don't need to adhere to this stereotype to be feminine. I learned to reinterpret femininity so that I can identify with this strong modern woman; one who confidently embraces the qualities that make her uniquely a part of the fairer sex without compromising her character or inner abilities.
